Pancakes are a sweet and delicious way to treat yourself and those you care about. But in order for a pancake to be truly delicious, it needs to be fluffy… It should feel like you are biting into a syrup covered cloud. Here at FUNWORKS, we exist to make the world a sweeter place and inspire happiness. So in the spirit of sweetness and happiness, here is our SUPER FLUFFY PANCAKE recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 x Cup SR Flour
- 1 x Cup Milk
- 3 x Egg Whites
- 1 x Egg Yolk (yep… you’ll have two spare egg yolks)
- 1T Sugar (See – the world is sweeter already!)
- 1/2t Salt
- Butter (for cooking with)
- 1 x Electric Beater (Or a hand whisk if you want your arm to fall off)
DIRECTIONS
- Get yourself a nice big bowl and mix in the self-raising flour, egg yolk, and milk. Stir it together until smooth.
- In a separate bowl add the egg whites, sugar and salt. Grab an electric beater (or use hand wisk) and beat the egg whites until it forms stiff peaks. You will know when they are stiff enough when you can turn the bowl upside down and they don’t fall out.
- Gently fold the stiff egg whites into the butter mixture. Be careful not to stir too much or the pancakes won’t be as fluffy.
- Heat up a frying pan over medium heat and scoop the batter into the pan. Cook them until they start to bubble on one side then flip. They should be golden brown on both sides.
- Serve hot with your favourite toppings – We suggest you try Hershey’s Chocolate Flavoured Syrup!
